When a customer needed a different type of wire design, they knew that we had the expertise to meet their needs. This wire would be used in a military application as both the signal carrying wire and as an antenna. We designed the wire using metal and synthetic materials that gave the signal carrying capability, flexibility, and strength required. The wire was extruded and braided and then insulated with green PVC. With a diameter of .110", this wire was significantly smaller in size than what the customer had been using and has the ability to withstand winds in excess of 100 mph and temperatures of -40°C to 80°C. Working to tolerances of ± .005", this wire project was RoHS compliant and met all customer specifications.
